Lily Collins is one of my favourite actresses so I was very curious about this book. It was a good read, very interesting to learn more about her and her life. She talks pretty candidly about the hardships she had to go through and in the end it kinda feels like she's your friend and she understands what you went or are going through.

This book is raw, emotional and very inspiring. After having finished it you feel empowered, you feel strong, there were many inspirational quotes throughout the book but the one that resonated strongly with me personally was: "The quirky things that make you different are what make you beautiful". Thank you Lily Collins for inspiring everyone to embrace the quirky.

This didn't feel "unfiltered" for me. It kind of felt forced in a lot of places. I get what Lily was trying to do here but it didn't feel genuine. I felt like she was putting on a show rather than really opening up and digging deep. I feel like it was too wrapped up in a pretty bow for what she pitches at book as.

Interesting look at eating disorders.

It felt so real and you get to know Lily so well.
She is so open in a way I aim to be.
Though it dealt with heavy topics it was a great reading experience.

TWs for the book: eating disorders (anorexia), (emotional) abusive relationships/ negative relationships, addiction

I'll admit I'm quite the snob when it comes to celebrity books, especially the never-ending "love urself bc ur special!!!" kinda stuff. Little did I know, it would only take my angel Miss Lily to make me feel deservedly ashamed of my pretentious (and lowkey not-like-other-girls) mentality. Reading about the ways in which Lily has suffered over the years, particularly at the hands of an emotionally abusive partner, affected me far more than expected. Though I may not know her, I feel immensely proud of all she has accomplished and her choice to share it in this book. It's an easy read, but a poignant one. Love you Lil, keep fighting that good fight!!!

This wasn't really a book as much as it was a collection of short essays (as the blurb describes). I've always loved Lily Collins, so I was excited to read her story. She writes with unapologetic candor throughout the whole book and shared so much of herself. At first I thought it was quite lighthearted (and the tone of the book somehow is lighthearted), but then I realized that it must've taken a lot for her to talk about such deeply personal issues and experiences. I love the messages she's putting out in the book, but all in all this can best be described like a transcript of a talk or a podcast. I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Collins herself, for the last few chapters, and I enjoyed it significantly more than reading the majority of the book. I'd maybe listen to the audiobook in full again, but not read it a second time.
