I could not for the life of me get into this book. I just did not care about the story of these characters. There is no way if Trent went to prison that he would be allowed in the NFL again. I also didn't like that it felt like Trent spent most of the book objectifying Jade. It didn't even feel like it was about football that much until the end. The only thing I liked about this book was that the Patriots won the Super Bowl.

OMG the chemistry between Jade and Trenton is hot, sweaty, vulnerable, affirming, and real!! I related to every aspect of this story; I even stayed up all night trying to finish. I conked out at 94%. Love Belvin knows she can develop some characters and build a solid plot. My heart ached at times, then was filled with love. I always go through an emotional roller coaster while reading Love Belvin's works. The comic relief at the bowling alley had me laughing out loud! Love's humor is on point too. This is a must read that I highly recommend. Truly an example of contemporary Black women's fiction. BTW, thanks for giving us single mothers hope...

DNF 79%. This book is never ending. This close to the end and I just can't do it. I don't even care to know how it ends. It should have been done 100 pages ago! This could have been a really good book, there's brilliant moments then crash and burn. I don't know why I tortured myself to make it this far. I'm slowly starting to hate the H&H. Jade is just annoying AF. The over the top insecurities and jealousy.

Introducing one of my favorite book couples, Trenton (IYKYK) & Jade. Trent is looking to renter the NFL, and Jade is a struggling single mother. Their meeting at pee wee football is right place, right time in more ways than one.

I don't even like football but I want Love In the Red Zone!

Love Belvin knows how to write a love story! Trent's character was so complex, he wasn't the typical pro football player that has the perfect life. Love Belvin gave you a look into how his mind worked and his inner darkness. Jade and Trent's both had issues in the relationship but they each gave the other things they needed to feel secure. Great book! Thank you for giving us a little of Ezra and Lex!!!!!

I wasn't a fan of this author's style of writing. I'm reading the series because one of my favorite authors, Christina C. Jones, is an author in this series. I pushed through to get to book 2.

I just love Trent and Jade's love

This story was about two people trying their best to get their lives in the "red zone." They both had set backs in their lives that knocked them off of their paths. Trent, after coming out of prison and depression, tried his best to stay in the zone by focusing on his faith in God and being a good Christian. In helping Jade and her son when homeless , he found something that was missing in his life and that was the nurturing love of a good woman, something he did not receive as a child from his mother. For Jade, Trent was everything to her. He made feel complete, loved and safe. I enjoyed reading this story.
