Helaas niet mijn boek. Het verhaal kwam erg traag op gang en bestond in het eerste gedeelte vooral uit veel geroddel. Ik vond de toon van de meeste personages nogal zeurderig en overdreven, maar dat past ook wel weer goed bij het algemene beeld van hogere kringen. Austen was in ieder geval goed in unlikeable personages creëren. Hoewel ik zeker kan inzien dat anderen dit boek geweldig vinden, heb ik mezelf er niet mee kunnen vermaken.

It took me two weeks to read this, because I had to re-read most of the paragraphs so I could understand Austen. Really worth it, though. Elizabeth Bennett is probably my favorite female protagonist; 5 stars! <3
