I loved every second of this. I listened to the audiobook and thought it was fantastic. If you read and loved Fish in a Tree but haven't read this one, get on it!! You will love it.
fast-paced

RTC soon... need to collect my thoughts and feelings on this one because it was really good and heartfelt...

This one had me crying so many times. Although I think it portrays the process of foster care a little more smoothly than is possible, I feel that it the timing was the best it could be for the length of a middle grade novel. I loved the characters and the story, and pretty much all of the book! Anyone who passed me in my car while I was listening to the audio had to be a bit worried about me :)

Working on a longer review for the blog.

5 stars isn't enough for this one! Carley and the Murphy family will stay with me for a VERY long time.

This book is a tear-jerker, but in the most wonderful way possible. The reader will fall in love with Carley Connors, and the ending will leave you torn. One part of you will wish that things could be different, while the other part of you will cheer Carley on for having such amazing strength. The plot moves quickly, but by the end, you will feel as if you know each character intimately. A very special book about foster care.

Totally beautiful. Loved it.

The first book to ever make me cry. Foster love ❤️

This was even better than Fish in a Tree. I cried through the whole second half.
