I love these guys, and the first Clanlands book was laugh-out-loud funny in places, but this one, with its “hilarious” stories of getting black-out drunk, fart jokes, and a smattering of New Zealand history, was not nearly as good. They decided to cast themselves in the roles of curmudgeonly complainer and adrenaline-chasing alcoholic, and bless them, they rarely broke character. It got tedious and left me feeling like they really didn’t have a good time on their tour of New Zealand, or in writing this book.
