This was a quick and fun read, a creepy mystery book. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a twisty and fun book.

Rec: one of the my reading challenge of reccommended friends’ books! This friend wanted to stay anonymous…but my god. You know who you are. Thank you for this one- ignored all my responsibilities to finish 🫢
Alix Summers, a successful podcaster, and Josie Fair, a quiet Londoner, are birth twins. They meet in a restaurant bathroom where they are both celebrating their 45th birthdays. Josie becomes a little obsessed with Alix’s glamorous and picture perfect life, and tracks her down to offer a new podcast subject: herself. Josie has a bit of a dark past (she and her husband started dating when she was a teenager and he was a married 40+, to start), but is motivated to start making changes. Josie entwines herself closer and closer into Alix’s life, but something about Josie seems off. Alix starts learning that Josie hasn’t been totally honest with her about her life, and things escalate until Alix finds out her truth, and that she and her family are in significant danger.
➕: This one was sooooo twisty! Much page turning. Unreliable narrators to high heaven. I mean, it’s LITERALLY in the title but it still took me by surprise. There’s also something a little addicting with reading about glamorous characters like Alix Summers
➖: The ending made me sad and wanting a little more resolution!

That was a wild ride for sure. Twists and turns, creepy characters, lots of crazy stories - who is telling the truth?
