Thank you so much to Simon Audio for my ALC

This book is absolute bonkers, probably the most unhinged domestic psychological thriller's I ever read. When a chance encounter brings Alix Summers, a famous podcaster closer to Josie she takes the opportunity to interview Josie for her brand new program "Hi, I am your birthday twin". As the story slowly progresses it becomes apparent that there is a lot going on in Josie's life than we are allowed to witness. It is most definitely a nail biting page turner, with a multiple POV and a bunch of transcripts thrown into the mix to form a full picture, the plot that unspools gets more twisted as we go

My most favorite part has to be the unreliable narrator, it is done so well and some of it is left to readers imagination. The characters are going to make you uncomfortable and the plot at times feels suffocating as you follow the course of events. Overall it is a massive thrill ride and probably will be a favorite for quite a lot of thriller audiences

AUDIO NOTATIONS-
I believe this book is best enjoyed as audio with full cast narration for multiple POV and transcripts of the interviews thrown into the mix along with some transcripts from the investigation that proceeds in the later parts of the story. The podcast/TV sound effects are done so well to give you a feeling that you are listening to a true crime podcast

Cool format of writing. The story just kept getting messier and messier. Didn’t fully understand the ending. Wouldn’t be mad if there was a second book.

Story not bad. But listening on audio books, I wasn't crazy about the setup. Would be better read as a book

Breaking news: you can like this book AND still hate most of the characters AND disagree with the controversial "redemption arc." Crazy concept, I know.

So twisty. So unbelievably hard to put down! So frustratingly mind bending. My bestie Lisa hit it outta the park with this one. I loved the real life / documentary / podcast format - the back and forth kept me guessing until the very end. I'm still not sure what to believe.

Don't read anything about this book. Just dive in. It's like binging a true crime documentary. Bring your popcorn.

Captivating story, especially in the audiobook version that included sound effects. The ending just kinda fell flat for me.

Highly recommend the audiobook for this one! This was my first Lisa Jewell novel and definitely won’t be my last. The story was twisty, suspenseful, and kept me constantly trying to piece things together—and honestly, I still am. It’s written so well, and I have a feeling I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.
