A story about people using youth culture and media to brainwash people into railing violently against illegal immigrants is painfully topical right now!

It was great to get back into the world of the First Doctor and Susan, set before the events of An unearthly child!
Carole Ann Ford did a fantastic job at portraying Susan again, as if she had never left the show!

It was an interesting premise and I did enjoy the story, but I could predict what would happen, especially concerning Cedric.

Doctor Who: Hunters of Earth is the first part of an 11 part series for the 50th anniversary and while the end ties into that fact it can be listened to outside of that if you so choose.

Written by Nigel Robinson and performed by Carole Ann Ford and Tam Williams. Sound Design by Simon Hunt. And directed by John Ainsworth.

The first Doctor is in all his grumpy charm here, taking place a few months before the pilot takes place. The Doctor is great but the real star here is his companion and Granddaughter Susan performed again by Carole Ann Ford who is a delight to listen to.

I don't think this is a good place to start for the first Doctor or Doctor Who in general, not that I think it's trying to be that, I think it's best to acknowledge going in though that this is a celebration of 50 years of Doctor Who. Knowing that makes this very enjoyable. I know this cranky old Doctor and Susan. It sets the stage for those first adventures of Doctor Who while also setting up what would be Susan's departure.

A good start, one I enjoyed very much as they played with these old characters. I look forward to where it is going and have started the next audio adventure.

It's an okay audio book. Not fantastic. It's not really explained who the monster of the week is which is a tad frustrating. The story is set before the first episode of Doctor Who. It focused a lot on the relationship between the Doctor and Susan which was nice. It's pretty short-- only a little over an hour long.

This is pretty good, and it sparked a theory with me as to why the Doctor and Susan left in the first place. It's interesting to hear about things that happened before the first episode takes place.

Enjoyable short story of the 1st Doctor with his granddaughter Susan read by Carole Ann Ford (the actress who played Susan). The audiobook is performed so it's nearly like listening to a very short episode and nicely done.

The Doctor and Susan are on Earth and Susan and trying to make friends at Coal Hill School after they've been there for 4 months. But anti-alien sentiment is strong in the area and a strange transmission seems to be making things very dangerous for her and her grandfather.

I really like this one as it brings back the nearly forgotten/ignored aspect of Susan's mind abilities!
