This book is so beautifully written. Can’t believe it’s the author’s debut. Dark, visceral, beautiful, ugly. Explores power imbalances in all kinds of relationships, womanhood, cults of personality and those that are drawn into them, what we will do when we love someone who is selfish, and what we will do when we are looking for someone to blame for our circumstances.

One of the very few books that have held my interest this year. It was good, parts made me uncomfortable, the pacing lenses itself well to the story and I think it spoke to human nature, and what wecan be capable of.
A little too long in my opinion, some passages not needed. Iris was a bit too passive for me, not the most intriguing narrator.
Is it a queer book? It has elements of this (Molly/Ambika & Iris/?), but it does feel like a bit of a lazy plot device.
