I was actually really disappointed with this book. I thought the story was more magical like the lion, the witch and the wardrobe or the enchanted wood or something, but it wasn’t. It was more just a silly, pointless tale with underdeveloped characters and no magic feel.

I've been listening to this as I fall asleep and it's a great bedtime calming story. It has big hobbit energy. The main detraction is the Toad ending. It doesn't feel right. This is mainly a charming story, although I might be biased because I loved it as a kid.

ما أدري ليش كان عندي مقاومة لهذا الكتاب ورفضت أقرأه لوقت طويل، ولما حاولت أقرأه ما قدرت أكمل أكثر من صفحة. لكن اللحظة الحاسمة جات واستسلمت للكتاب أخيرًا، كم صفحة كل يوم قبل النوم. إحساس السلام والراحة والطمأنينة الي في الكتاب ما تلقاه في أي مكان تاني. العالم بخير. الناس بخير. انت بخير. كل شي ملحوق عليه. كل شي تمام. وعندك كل الوقت في العالم عشان تستمتع بمتع الحياة البسيطة. 

في مشاكل صغيرة في الكتاب خصوصًا قرب النهاية، لكن إذا ما حملت الكتاب حمل أكبر من حجمه ماديك تتغاضى عنها.

This is the first full book I read to my son while he was still growing in his other mums belly. 

A remarkable tale of friendship, strength and adventure. It will always be special to me now.
