Quite boring tbh, I love the idea of it and the cosy vibes but it’s kind of putting me in a reading slump. I think I’ll definitely pick this up again at a later time and try it again because it seems to be a lovely book but rn I’m just not in the mood for it.

Classic. Read this purely for nostalgia reasons. But still liked it. Only read a few pages every night, in between other books so it took awhile to finish.
This is my favourite comfort read. The characters are so fussy and pretentious and their antics are so silly. The use of language is delightful and also old fashioned due to the time which males the characters seem even fussier and there are a few really strange moments that make you go ‘huh’ ‘how does this work in this strange little world’. I would say my favourite parts are absolutely any scenes where the creatures homes are being explored and described as well as any scenes centered around a picnic or a meal. My partner reads this to me whenever I am sick or need help falling asleep and it’s perfect.
