i read this so fast and i had such a great time 😭 i really think this was miles above book one, and i was so much more interested in the story this time around. the only reason it doesn’t get five stars is because the writing felt just a little inconsistent. it’s like this book was trying to jump out of the young adult category with the sex scenes and the plot lines, but the inner monologues and the prose just couldn’t quite get it there.

Dude I’m not gonna lie, I had no idea what was happening a solid 1/3 of the time in this book - I think the author THINKS things are clear, but until she explicitly says them it’s all confusing.

That being said… I ate this shit up 😂

I loved the first book, but this once instantly took a nose dive off the deep end “add all the plot points and do nothing with them” and “let’s make the character bipolar.” 

Emilia was so strong and then she became so insufferable.

It's a really good written book but it drives me totally crazy.
I instantly started the third book cause the end was just so mean and open again. 
Still love the book and the whole series.
