‘There is nothing more dangerous than a woman who owns who she is and apologizes to no one.’

Mixed feelings about this one. I understand people’s woes about Emilia being like a different character in this book in comparison to KotW, but she’s in hell, she’s unfiltered, keeping personified sins as company and she’s been through a lot. So I kinda feel a bit defensive of her, I’m here for feminine rage. Do I feel it went from 0-100? Yes. I get that maybe Kerri wanted to go in a different direction, more NA than YA but maybe a little build up on that would’ve been better. I did guess the secret but the plot? Nooooooo bloody clue whats going on there pal.

But I finally what period this series is set in, HUZZAH.

TWs: depictions of injury, sexism, sexual harassment, drugging, ? dubious consent

This book was definitely an improvement from the first one, but it still left me wanting more. The spice was definitely there this time and Wrath is probably one of my favorite male love interests of all time, but god damn Emilia is still the most annoying character. Sometimes she's bearable and the next chapter I seriously consider DNF'ing the book because of how fucking stupid she is. However, I'm 2 books into a 3 book series so I'm curious to see how the final book plays out.

I'm reading a lot of reviews about how Chapter 17 gave them the "ick" and I *personally* didn't think it was the worst thing I've ever read. Yes, it was not completely necessary but I understood where the author was going with the scene. I understand how it can be triggering but it didn't hurt the story for me *personally*

Also - saw Wrath being the Devil himself and had a feeling Vittoria was still alive. I mean she literally told Emilia in the first book she was doing shady shit, but I'm curious how it'll all play out in this final book.

GAAAAH I LOVE THIS SERIEEESS!!! This book is a strong 5 ⭐️ but it was a bit hard to get hooked from the beginning. It had been awhile since I read the first book and did not remember who had killed who and so on, I was a little bit disoriented.  BUUUT I WAS SO GLAD I CONTINUED BECAUSE GAH I LOVED IT❤️❤️❤️

After 119 pages I decided to dnf this read. I’m done with the “flirting” and the bad dialogue. The main character is badly written and the love interest is toxic. Because of my doubt I decided to read some of the high valued scenes and I’m disgusted. I’m okay with some spice but it should be with consent and chapter 17 just wasn’t it. Rape or Sexual assault should not be romanticized. It’s dangerous and fucking disrespectful.
