I see a lot of "kids or teens" comments here. It's too old for my kids, which is fine, because I borrowed it from the library mostly for me (it'd been too long since reading a Gaiman book) with the hope that maybe my kids would enjoy after I had.

I wouldn't give it to my kids, but like I said, that didn't really bother me. What bothered me is how boring the book was. Excepting "Troll Bridge," I guess, the rest of the stories were just unremarkable and unengaging. Unexpected to say the least.

There are some very good short stories, and I usually don't like short stories. My Binge reading Gaiman is giving me a lot of satisfaction recently....

Ci sono delle storielline veramente carine, e io di solito nemmeno li leggo i racconti, a meno che non siano di S.King. La mia abbuffata di Gaiman mi sta dando grosse soddisfazioni recentemente.....

It's Neil Gaimann, so you know it's good. It's even better because the short storess show off his range - which is impressive.

Aunque algunos de los cuentos ya ps he leído en otras compilaciones, nunca viene mal reencontrarse con ellos, de la mano de completos desconocidos. La pluma de Gaiman es magnífica.

Enjoyable audiobook from my local library system.

Either I've already read this and forgotten half of it, or half these stories were in other anthologies.

Wonderful, magical, and bone-chilling stories. The best are "Chivalry" and "The Price" (which was also featured as a comic in Creatures of the Night).

I've read most of these stories in other collections before, but the way these were grouped together made for a very autumnal season feeling which was fitting for the time of year.

A collection of short stories by Gaiman with an introduction explaining why he is a fan of both reading and writing short stories. You can tell in his shorts his love of the genre, Gaiman is able to create an entire world and experience in just a few pages. I hardly ever feel lost or out of place when reading one, which is a true talent. There are some stories you can find in other collections, such as [b:Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders|16788|Fragile Things Short Fictions and Wonders|Neil Gaiman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386924550s/16788.jpg|3262727] and some of course that are not. It happens to contain my now favorite short from Gaiman, [b:The Case of the Four and Twenty Blackbirds|13563554|The Case of the Four and Twenty Blackbirds|Neil Gaiman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1401887116s/13563554.jpg|19140010]. For this alone, you should check out this book.

Nice collection of Short stories.
