What happened here? With some suspense, we read about Laura. She's going on a date with Johnathan. Now, while we might worry that it's a set up because it's internet dating, maybe Laura is more of a risk than Johnathan? While pondering that, Laura vanishes. Rosie, her sister, and Rosie's husband want answers. Told from both Laura and Rosie's POV, this book was quite fascinating. It does manage some twisting, and I like that.

My copy came from Net Galley. (Thank you!) My review is my own, left because I can do that.

I thoroughly enjoyed this psychological thriller from Wendy Walker. It was twisty and turny and there were definite some developments in the plot I didn't see coming. I couldn't stop turning the pages until I found out what happened to Laura. Every time I thought I knew the answer Walker would add in another red herring to throw me off the trail. Great read!

I can't begin to sing high enough praises for Wendy Walker and her book. I am a contemporary romance lover but what I love just as much (sometimes more!) is a wonderfully written, edge-of-your-seat, late into the night physchological thiller. Wendy Walker's novel is all of that and so much more! The intensity of the story is epic, bringing a past to clash with a present and creating a heart pounding, unforgettable roller coaster ride.

Don't think that this one will be an easy one to figure you. It's full of twists and turns, and amazingly chiseled characters, and it kept me up way past my bedtime trying to figure out the whos and the whys and the hows. Just when I thought I had Laura's story figured out about her past,Walker hit me something new and bam! I had to rethink and try to figure it out in a new way. That's amazing talent!

I won't get into a lot of detail because if I do tell you more about Laura and her story, I might spoil it! So, what I will tell you is this: go get a copy of this novel now. It will keep you guessing, you'll be cussing at the book because what you think you know about it.....you won't really know. It's definitely a keeper and worthy of high praises! But be warned! Once you start this, you will not be able to put it down, you will lose sleep, and you'll absolutely be wanting another novel yesterday!

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Publisher and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.*

Laura is recently single, and moved from New York to her sister Rosie's house in Connecticut. Laura is about to go on a date with a man she met on a dating website. From the get go it is clear that Laura is damaged. She has a mysterious past, connected to a murder. Laura never returns home from her date, and Rosie and her husband, Joe start unpacking and investigating her life to try and find her.

The narrative switches between Laura "The Night Before' and Rosie the day after.

I found this book to be too verbose. The plot moved very slowly and frustratingly on Laura's side.

I received an ARC of this novel from the publisher through NetGalley.

This book was so good. It’s a mystery/thriller that you will love from start to dramatic finish. It has it all. All the feelings you like in a good thriller.

Take two sisters and throw in a husband, best friend, a few deaths, online dating and kidnapping and you have a good story. This one is actually a great story. I was drawn in from the beginning and could not put this book down. I wanted to know what was coming next. I thought I had it figured out but I was so wrong. I did not see it coming at all. I usually get close, but this time I was so far off I may as well have been on another planet looking.

This book will take you from Laura and Rosie’s childhood to their adulthood. Back and forth between the two. From both of their lives. They alternate chapters and keep you wondering what is going to happen next. Who can you trust. Who did what to who and will they survive. It’s one roller coaster of a ride that you will not soon forget. It contains the thrill, mystery, love, hate, relationship and friendships. It truly has it all. It’s not a huge tearjerker but you will feel for the characters. For all of them actually.

They characters are so well developed and your feelings for each of them will change at times but throughout I truly like them all. Even the villain when he is finally exposed. My heart broke for Laura for all the things she went through trying so hard to find love.

I felt like the ending of this book was well done. It didn’t leave any major loose ends and certainly didn’t keep you wondering. It was my first book by this author but won’t be my last by any means.

I have to thank #NetGalley, #St Martin’s Press for this awesome book in exchange for my complete and honest review.

It’s another 5 stars from me. I loved it.

Really good book. Kept me guessing till the end.
