“Hearing voices no one else can hear isn't a good sign, even in the wizarding world.”

This was a great follow up to the awesomeness that was Philosopher's Stone.
SpoilerI love all the hints at Harry's abilities with Parseltongue, where the Chamber of Secrets is, and most of all, Tom Riddle. Even though I have seen the movie (quite a few years ago), it still surprised me a bit. The connections between old Voldie and Harry were really good, it makes what could be just a simple magic story into something so much more.
I'm really looking forward to what the future holds for all these characters, especially since I don't remember any of the movies past Chamber of Secrets, so there will some real surprises coming up in the future!

This is probably an unnecessarily harsh number of stars to give it, but it suffers by way of comparison to the rest of the series. The characters and world are still wonderful and comfortable. It's a fun reread as a part of a great series. It's a little weaker than others and it plods a little in the middle before rocketing through the climax and conclusion.
