Oh my gosh. I found this book due to following Katie, and being obsessed with the original Charlotte Illes videos. I’m glad to say that seeing it become a full book was wonderful, and it was truly better than I expected (and I had high expectations). Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery, and especially those with fun side plots and lovable characters.

This is a really good, lighthearted mystery novel.  In addition to the central case, it addresses some of the challenges of trying to figure out who you are and where you fit in a world that’s changing around you in your early-to-mid-twenties.

It was a slow start for me as I found Charlotte incredibly annoying, but then it got better as the cozy mystery factor settled in. I could have done without the whole identity crisis of "but I'm not a detective!" - I understand what the author was going for, but it just didn't land effectively for me. Still, I had a good time with this so I'm not complaining.
