I utterly love this book. It is one of the only books that I willingly read that makes me sob like a baby. (I hate crying.)It is a comfort read at its best.

I wish i had read this as a child! I was so much like Anne when I was younger, and I still am now, except I'm lacking her courage. My parents named me after the actress that played her in the show! (the only show, as far as I'm concerned. Not any of that Anne with an E nonsense.)

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book! It was wonderful and I think it would be an amazing book for every little girl, or boy, who feels different to read!

I'd never read Anne of Green Gables, although I'd seen the miniseries many, many times. Since I live in PEI, I thought it was a good time to give it a read with my kids while summer is at its peak. It didn't disappoint. Lucy Maud Montgomery has an incredible knack for Anne's linguistic flights of fancy. It's a distinct pleasure to read. It's also interesting to see elements of Island culture that have been preserved to the present day and try to map out the real world correlation to fictional localities in the book.

This was a delightful children’s classic. I was really quite moved by the end of it, although I didn’t expect to be. Anne is such a wonderful character!
