I had such high expectations for this book, and it exceeded them. I love and adore this. It just felt like a warm hug. Anne's journey is something we can all relate to. It actually made me a little sad to read about a child growing up and becoming a teenager, especially the changes. It is relatable, but reading or seeing it from another perspective was different. Throughout the book, I felt like a mother not wanting her child to grow up too fast.

I grew up watching and rewatching the Anne of Green Gables movies with Megan Follows but never actually read the books. I finally decided to tackle them and--wow! I was worried the story would seem dated and not hold up, but this was fantastic !
