Well in so many word Nicole really said buckle up solider it's going to be bumpy ride. My love for Nicole runs so deep that I allow her to hurt my feelings with fiction, but I can't help it. Her books are beyond amazing. The storyline is well rounded gives you so many options, you get the characters you love, the story you want thats fantasy and myth. You get the epic amount of feelings, you get attached to every corner of her work like a security blanket. I am so sad it's over but very glad that it was completed with nothing left unanswered. I love this series as much as her first one. Well done Nicole on another epic series !!!! I can't wait to be hurt in the future 😉

5 ⭐ CW (provided by the author): homophobia, xenophobia, parental loss, cursing, sexual content, war, death (animal and human)
Songs of Retribution by Nicole Bailey is the fourth and final book in the Siren's Call series. I have so many mixed emotions about this book! On the one hand, I loved the way it wrapped up the story and the character development, but on the other hand, I don't want it to end!
This is less a review and more of a hand flailing mess of emotions. I just adore the way Nicole writes characters. This is the second series I've read of her's, and her characters are excellent every time. They are all so lovable! The dynamics between characters are wonderful. I love that Nicole focuses a lot on platonic and family love in her Books. There is romance, but it never overshadows the sibling love that Lira and Lennox share or the friendships that they all share.
We got some different pairings for adventures in this one. We see more of Elisa and Lennox's friendship after their ordeal. Their friendship is so wholesome. Then we get Orman and Neia together trying to enlist the help of the elves. Sai finally stops being insufferable about Lennox, and we get dragons!
I have really enjoyed this take on fae and Sirens along with the growth of all these characters. So much diversity and so queer. Go read Nicole's books!
