I enjoyed the characters a lot! The side characters were sprinkled in the story but the main characters were engaging and lovable. Messy family background and enemies to enemies with benefits to lovers trope. Some editing errors throughout but nothing too distracting.

giggling and kicking my feet I love enemies to lovers also manatees are mentioned and I love manatees
This is my first book by this author and it was so good! It was kinda slow at first but I managed to pick up the pace. The characters had a lot of chemistry in every aspect of their relationship. I loved how complicated the storyline went but in the end, I kinda understood each of their stories, and of course, HEA!

Famous Last Words has been on my tbr shelf since I attended Readers Take Denver 2024. I regret waiting so long to read this enemies to lovers college hockey romance!
I was hooked from the first page, curious about the past that linked Harlow and Conor, and rooting for them to find a way to an HEA. Of course the path to true love never runs smooth, and this story is no exception. The plot was emotionally engaging, with a strong focus on family, the perfect pacing kept me reading late into the night.
With tangled family ties, conflicting loyalties, and past trauma hidden from both teammates and friends, Harlow Hayes and Conor Hart ignore each other's existence for their first three years at Holt University. With an overlapping friend group, that takes dedication to the cause! When a mutual friend challenges Harlow to seek Conor's help in training for the charity marathon being run in her late parents' memory, everything begins to change between Harlow and Conor.
I felt engaged with both Harlow and Conor. Even when I found Conor's actions frustrating, they were rooted in his past traumas and determination to achieve his dreams in the only way he believed he could. There were a lot of feelings of trauma for Conor to unpack throughout the story regarding his relationship with his father, and I appreciated the way the author resolved this issue in an authentic and believable way.
I highly recommend this book for fans of new adult and sports romances.
