Honestly, the plot of this series is meh but the characters are so endearing that I can’t get enough of them.
A little less enjoyable than previous, mainly because Savrain is a wild asshole throughout, to an unjustifiable degree.

This was really good!! Although it didn't have the magnetic unputdownable suspense of the first book—not sure if my taste has changed or if I was just in a weird mood—the characters were just as complelling and beautifully written. Zofia, Laila and Enrique are all very precious to me! As for Séverin, well... he's the classic morally-grey dark guy, but he's compelling! And I see why he does the things he does! So I like him too, in his own way lol! But really I'm just so obsessed with Roshani's writing, it's gorgeous and lovely and I really can't wait to pick up the last book!

I don’t know how Roshani Chokshi constantly delivers but I guess she is my favorite author for a reason. Should have trusted my instincts and read this book sooner.
"I wish my love was more beautiful."
The contrast between the fun upbeat tone of The Gilded Wolves and the gloominess of The Silvered Serpents... I'm in PAIN.
and SÉVERIN “Excuses to tell you that you’re a poison I’ve come to crave. Excuses to tell you that you terrify me out of my senses, and how I’m fairly certain you’ll be the death of me, Laila, and yet I can’t bring myself to mind" MONTAGNET-ALARIE!?!! MY ALGERIAN KING!!! (I wanted to punch him throughout the whole book and give him a hug at the same time.)
