In this episode, Badseedgirl learned that Eliza Doolittle's Dad from "My Fair Lady" was a garbage collector. For a book that started out so light-hearted, well you know except for the murder, this novel sure did end dark.
On a personal note, by completing this book I am now officially more than 1/2 done with this series. My goal is to complete the series by the end of the year, so I can start on Miss Marple for 2016.

Every one of MC Beaton’s books is so easy to fly through and so nice to read while I wind down at night!
I was a teeny suspicious of the murderer throughout but still felt like it was a bit of a twist ending. As usual, I will be returning for more of LochDubh!

Death of a Dustman by M. C. Beaton
Blurb
When Fergus Macleod, Lochdubh's abusive, drunk dustman is put in charge of the local recycling centre and is dubbed the 'Environment Officer', Hamish Macbeth smells trouble. Sure enough, Fergus, imbued with his new powers, becomes a bullying tyrant and when his body is found stuffed in a recycling bin, no one is sorry - including his long-suffering family. But Macbeth is surprised to find that many of the despicable dustman's victims refuse to talk - and when violence strikes again, the lanky lawman must quickly unearth the culprit among a litter of suspects... before the killer makes a clean getaway!
My Opinion
I am 16 books into this series now and I am not sure what it is, but I just cannot stay away from the Scottish Highlands. Following on from A Highland Christmas, normal service has been restored and Hamish once again finds himself investigating a murder. So far this series has been an entertaining journey - although personally if I lived in Lochdubh I would have moved away by now.
A nice, cosy mystery that was just a delight to read. I am already thinking about when I can squeeze in my next visit.
