Really intriguing concept and while a bit slow at times, I did end up enjoying how things unfolded and little mysteries were revealed. these type of "groundhog day" plots can get tedious as the same things happen over and over but I think it was handled pretty well in this book. I definitely felt Gemma's frustrations but im glad we didn't linger too much in the "retakes" I'd say this is outside my normal reading genres but it was good to mix it up!
I was so engaged until the last 1/3 and then it fell flat for me.

I have such mixed opinions about this book! It was very different to anything else I'd read, and I loved the mystery aspects but I did find Christopher's obsession with Gemma to lack reason, and I wish that the final quarter of content had taken up more of the book, as the lead up felt quite long. This might be something you enjoy if you like a mid-paced mystery book with time jump elements!

Really cool concept but felt like the book kinda missed the mark. Loved the chapters that take place in the other world. The parts where Gemma is acting her scenes were super thrilling and showcase what a strong and compelling lead she is. Gemma was easily my favorite character. Christopher’s character was also complex but some of his chapters just seemed to drag. This book somehow felt too long and too short at the same time. Too long in that this book did not need to be almost 500 pages and too short in that the romance felt rushed and the ending too abrupt. Everything was tied up too quickly and easily within the last few chapters, in my opinion. I think I would have liked the book more if Christpher solved the mystery earlier on. Still definitely worth a read!

The book is a little slow at first, but I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s an extremely interesting read with a unique storyline. With notes of thriller, horror, and mystery genres, this is a perfect read for someone who enjoys multiple timelines and darker themes.
