Paddington is so fun!
adventurous lighthearted fast-paced

Delightful! 5 stars from all three of us.

I wanted to revisit the Paddington books, luckily my library has lots of them so I’m slowly making my way through the series. Paddington has always been a memorable character to me, people of all ages can appreciate his endearing nature along with Bond’s cosy writing style.

I read this to my four- and seven-year-old daughters. We saw the movie in the theater on one of their birthdays and they loved it so I thought we should read the book. The beginning was almost identical to the movie, but after that, the stories were completely different. My girls loved the book as well. We look forward to reading more Paddington books in the future.

A classic children’s story of a bear from darkest Peru who is adopted by the Brown family. The book consists of eight chapters which showcases Paddington’s hard yet humorous attempts to assimilate into English culture.

Definitely a kids book. The bear makes some bad decisions and I am confused as to why the Browns are so unconcerned about all of this.

love the classics

DNF. A little too dated of a writing style. This probably would have been great to read when I was a kid, but not now.

How have I never read Paddington before? Thanks to my mom for giving us this completely delightful book, along with a dvd of charming videos. Both of my boys loved the silly, gentle humor of the scrapes that Paddington gets into. I found this as much fun to read aloud as Winnie-the-Pooh which is saying a lot!
