These stories were fun to read with my 5 year old. He enjoyed the scrapes Paddington gor himself into. Audio Stephen Fry
I never read these as a kid, but it's come up in conversation recently so I thought I'd give it a go. I listened to the audiobook version read by Stephen Fry so that was a treat. Solid kid's story, but nothing incredibly captivating to me or amazing life lesson. I probably wouldn't buy it for my kids, but I'd read it to them if they were gifted the books. (If they ever exist.)
This was such a cute quick read that I think any child would love to read. Paddington reminds me of Winnie the Pooh in which they both are adorable bumbling bears that you can't help but laugh and be charmed by their misadventures. This is such an excellent start to the series, and I believe Mr. Bond did a wonderful job with setting the chapters as snippets into the Paddington's life with the Browns.
I really liked this story. Paddington is such a cute little bear; I found him to be incredibly endearing and lovable. His mishaps and adventures were fun (and funny) to read about.

Read this aloud to my four year old. He seemed to enjoy it, and when I showed him the cover of the movie, he recognized Paddington. I found it cute but boring.
The king of audiobooks and one sassy little bear? Yes please!
