It's the week before Xmas and 10 children have gone missing in the little town of Refuge. Seth Wolf (aka the big bad wolf)and his wife Lavender Seelie (aka Cinderella's fairy godmother) are on the trail though, something about the scents Seth picks up is familiar but he can't tell why and Lavender can't a read on her fairy godchild which is concerning.... hopefully they can find the children in time....
I really like how this series pulls from all walks of literature for the characters it portrays instead of just fairytales, this one pulls the big bad from Icelandic folklore. It was fun seeing Seth and Lavender again as well as a couple other side characters from the original series.

This was an amazing novella set in the Transplanted Tales world and I loved being back with some of my favorite characters! Though this can be read separately it's better to read the series or atleast book 2 - The Better To See You before diving into this one for full enjoyment!

We're back again with Seth Wolf who's always been considered as a villian for most of his life. He's finally found his own version of happiness with Lavender Seelie(Cinderella's former fairy godmother who's had her own set of struggles too) but it's threatened when a new kind of danger seems to be drawing close fo their town. Children have started going missing and they have limited time to rescue them before they're devoured and they need to protect their family too.

I loved revisiting this world and seeing these characters again! The touch of spookiness with the holiday theme was also fantastic and perfect for this season! Seth and Lavender were amazing together just as always and I loved seeing their dynamic! This was a perfect novella as I enjoyed reading it without feeling that it was too short!

Do give this one and this series a try if you're on the lookout for an amazing series that blends fairytales with suspense and romance along with some unique twists!
