I finished this book in less than 24 hours, not because I enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down but because I couldn’t bare the thought of reading it for more than one day.
The most pointless collection of short stories I have ever read. Not one of them drew me in or inspired me in any way.
Would not recommend.

Quite pleased with this whimsy selection, I was in a short stories mood and the cover caught my attention so I gave it a shot without much to go on and it was reading time well spent.

Very, very well written. This is a great example of someone who has mastered the use of the English language.

Finally feels good to pick up an Indian author after a brief hiatus of authors from other countries. It is a collection of short stories by Akhil Sharma. It is similar in language and essence to his other work "Family Life" which I had previously enjoyed and loved.

They are simple family stories told in a very easy language slowly unveiling complex emotions and layers of the characters exposing their vulnerabilities and weaknesses. These stories were engaging and I would rate it a 3/5. Some may not like the collection for the author's inability to give a closure to a few of the stories.
