Reread (November 5, 2016):
ahahahaha omg, i forgot i read this but apparently i haven't changed a BIT in three years, i was literally just gonna write about how much i was digging the theme of appreciating love as an experience without regards to reciprocation :')
First Read (Feburary 9, 2013):
Cute! It's pretty standard fare but I like the theme the author's pushing about appreciating love for its own sake, regardless of whether it's requited. Shoujo manga's pretty great about that generally, I don't see many genres that insist on the validity of crushes independent of any resulting relationship. 3 stars

This manga was really good! I loved the romance in this book and the development. I love the main characters of this book and can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!!

Don't ask, guys. I have no idea what I really think. I know what I'm supposed to think (it would be so easy to hate it, frankly) - but I'm honest, so here we go.
Over the top, cheesy, basically plotless and repetitive, totally frustrating, a love-triangle, but so cute, oddly comforting, compelling and picturing great friendship.
Yet I could say that the girl's life revolves around the boy she likes. I definitely could say that and complain endlessly. But... She is forteen. I was over dramatic and obsessed at 14! I would have probably eaten that shit at 14. No kidding.
Perhaps I've been brainwashed. That's a possibility to contemplate, considering that I kinda want to yell "I LIKE YOU REN KUN!" (not really) and then giggle like the mad woman I am (for real).
(I still think that they need some medicine to develop their memory, though. I mean repeating yourself is fine, to a certain extend that they've reached a whiiiiiiile ago. Just saying)
GAH. Crazy stuff I'm telling you.
Recommended if you want to stop thinking for a while (and are able to stand everything mentioned above + the fact that the MC looks like 10 at times)
As for me, I liked it as it was, and it was perfect to put me in a giddy mood. MY SMILE IS REAL RIGHT NOW. Enough said.

The artwork is ok, though not great, which is one of the reasons this has a lower rating than I think the actual story deserves. There are three characters in particular, one being the heroine, that are very similar in appearance. (At one point this similarity in features had me thinking that Daiki's sister confessed her love for him when it was a different character all together. Thankfully - thought this was going in a Flowers in the Attic direction for a second.)
The story isn't overly original, but the character development in this manga is phenomenal. (Something you don't find in a lot of Shojo manga.) The characters have depth and real emotion that isn't overly dramatized.
I'm interested in seeing where the series goes.

"Falling in love with someone... all kinds of people do it every day. It can't always work out."
Gosh, I love Strobe Edge so much. I re-read this so many times as a teen. Very excited about this re-read as well. I love how there isn't really a bad guy in this series. Everyone is just so nice. They're just nice kids trying to get through school and experiencing love and life.
I love Ninako as a character but some people might not like her since she's so naive and she's the type of person to cry at every little thing. She's my little baby.

Manga is not my favorite, but I liked this one quite a bit. The artwork is solid and the teen angst/love triangle-driven plot worked.
