This book made me question my morals. Hard core! 🤣 I had to stop a few times just to ask myself where I stood on kidnapping, torture, and murder all for the sake of love and trauma. You might see Hook and think this will be pirate based but make no mistake - its mafia through and through. Opposing families and a love story caught in the midst of a battle Wendy had no idea even existed. Hooked follows Wendy through the loss of her innocence in her journey into adulthood and Hook's journey to healing from his traumas and discovering new reasons to live.

Hooked has a medium pace with a fast build in the second half. There's spicy scenes scattered all throughout but a good chunk of the first half is setting up the major plot points and background for the story. It took me about 4 days to finish but had I not been interrupted by life I'm sure I could have got through it in 2. I loved reading through and seeing all the subtle (and not so subtle) nods to the original Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. 

Notable Tropes are mafia, found family, Touch her and die, and morally grey... everyone? 
Content Warnings that stood out to me - Kidnapping, Choking, Torture, Murder, Childhood SA, Abuse. 
The SA isn't graphically detailed but it is very much there. All the rest? Definitely graphic.

Good spice. First mafia type romance. Loved the Peter Pan references. Found some things slightly less believable and not the biggest fan of the plot twist being

hehe we are related. I had to draw a family tree to ensure things were kept legal. I also don’t care for weak little virgin girls.

I was literally hooked. Started and finished it in 1 day. Fantastic story with suspense, very intersting characters and a solid plot.

I’m still unsure on my feelings towards this book. I definitely resonated with the daddy issues, but I also didn’t enjoy a lot of this book. The first half was pretty mid but the second half was alright. I enjoyed the drama ig?

Honestly I liked the plot a lot for being a very smut heavy book. Definitely all the morally messing up stuff you could ask for. Loved that is was a “fractured” fairy tailed loved all the notes to the Peter Pan story line.

It is definitely a slow burn. I was expecting more at first it felt really clunky. All the plot twists kept me going tho. I rather enjoyed all the little easter eggs.

Not a book I would have picked out on my own. Could’ve had more romance. Spice was alright, which is why I rated it what it was.
