you know that one tumblr post that says villains make better love stories because they’d be willing to burn down the world for their loved ones while heroes will always be burdened by their unwavering morals? yeah i’m thinking about that while reading this book

the smut was pretty good! feeling weird how the girl doesn’t know her worth until she gets with the guy! and the guy is literally horrible which i guess is the point but man. if i saw him in real life i think i would run (so unfortunate that he’s hot…) i did not see the twists at the end and i thought the book set them up pretty well. 3/5 for the spice and suspense

The narrative and romance were fine, but the grotesque violence and Hook's mistreatment of Wendy at times left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Meanwhile, the many odd twists at the very end were absurd and the epilogue might have been the most out-of-character thing I had ever heard. I will not be continuing with this series.

All I have to say is that I read this amazingly fantastic book in less than 12hrs on my couch. My back hurts but omfg it was so worth it.
