Can't tell what this story was trying to do, sometimes there is a real pie then sometimes it is a nickname for the baby. Rhyme pattern is weak.

A story about getting a baby ready for bed. It compares the process of tucking in a baby to baking a pie. A bit weird and makes my daughter and me think of the Mother Mei Eye episode of Teen Titans.
