I had to consider whether I loved or liked this, meaning it’s really really close. Probably 4.5 stars or 4.75 if those ratings were possible on here...just not enough for 5 stars. Granted, the book I read before this was a solid 5 which could influence this one down.

I loved the characters in this book, loved the family dynamic and how everyone played off each other. Overall, I’d say there were just a couple things that I didn’t like they way they played out, but it was enough to downgrade the book for me. Can’t wait to read more in the series.

This book was so much fun to read! I loved reading Maddie and Landon’s love story. The banter and love and family ties were wonderful! I loved the Connor’s family dynamics. It was also very steamy, which is always a plus! So excited to read more from this author!

This is Story of mature love story of Maddie and Landon, both have same kind of journey as Landon lost his parents soon in live and give up his dreams to be a soccer player but to get money rolling he set work and build a business to support his siblings, same way Maddie lure for her parents love but they are always out of time for her and her sister so Maddie and grace they care of each other , and were close knit for both families stand first priority. And Maddie is architect working up Connor house where she met Landon and they met places here there and then at family dinner and festives, and fall in love head over heels, soon life take a turn as a test but they went through it smoothly and soon they announced to there families about there relationship and they are taking to another level and story take a leap and moved to wedding day and same day Maddie told Landon that they are going to be parent's as she is pregnant.

That was such a cute book. No unnecessary drama, no toxic people... It's been a while since I read a book like that. It gave me such a peace of heart that I absolutely needed to reward it with 5 stars. It's the first book of this author that I read. Definitely not my last.

I adored the Bennett Family series, like thousands of other people, and I’m sure we all had the same fears and questions when it came to the end of its run. What now? How can we ever move on? Will this Connor family be able to make us feel the way the Bennetts did? Layla is a genius. The Connors are a wonderful family, they have a totally different dynamic than what the Bennetts had, and it works so well. The way the siblings interacted was pure brilliance. This could have gone one of two ways, it could have been the Bennetts rehashed, or it could stand on its own originality, and it’s the latter. This series feels new and fresh and I am so excited to spend more time with the Connor Clan! I listened to this book in one sitting, once I started I just couldn’t pull myself away from this story and these characters. Layla writes characters you want to know about, you want to spend time with, and her writing flows so beautifully that it just immerses you into their world.

Landon and Maddie are so sweet together. From early on you must know they’re a match made in reader heaven. The way they interacted and came to terms with their feelings was sweet and beautiful. No major conflicts to drag out and make us question their feelings. It was obvious. Landon is such a swoony sweetheart, I fell for him early on. He’s not had it easy, raising his younger siblings and then losing his wife - but, he doesn’t close himself off, he embraces his feelings for Maddie, even if they weren’t what he planned. Maddie is such a wonderful character, I adored her. She’s making a name for herself in a tough business, all while helping her sister finance college and although she doesn’t have the need for a man, and doesn’t want to get hurt again, she’s still open to a relationship with Landon. The chemistry between them was palpable and the steam level, well, let's just say Landon isn’t all sweetness *wink* The other Connors are awesome, I can’t wait to get to know them some more. The next book is out soon, right?

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are a powerhouse. They always deliver when they perform, and when they’re paired up, you know it’s going to be magic. This book is no different, I thought Sebastian embodied Landon, he was just the perfect voice for this character. Andi was brilliant as Maddie. They both bring so much emotion to the characters and the change of tone and inflection really gives each character a unique voice. The production was fine with no issues I noted.

This one caught me by surprise. Even though it had all the puzzle pieces to be a cheesy instalove, it was so much more than that. Landon and Maddie are opposites, but the perfect magnets. Successful family man falls for easy going gardener. In the sweetest ways, he persuaded her into falling in love with him, not that she needed that boost. I loved the involvement of the family. They were obviously separate characters, but the family as a whole acted as a character in Landon and Maddie's love story. In many ways, it was predictable. But, in that aspect, I found that comforting. I loved feeling them fall in love.

9/10 Instalove
9/10 Romance

It was just underwhelming to me. There’s was nothing bad about this book, but nothing great either. There was zero drama, zero angst, and zero tension. It’s a good book if you need something safe after reading a very emotional book or just want a chill book break. The MMC is a widow but there’s never anything negative or any drama surrounding it. Solid book, just not memorable.

Not bad but not memorable either. Its so so feeling. No angst. No drama. I feel this book is a tad longer. The banter is sexy and flirty enough.
No characters development. Insta love connection. I like the dynamic of Connor family. They seems to be fun family. Love each other.

The wording is too wordy, hence 300 pages.
