a bizarre blend of short stories - some rather boring, others exquisite. I remember 'the woman the book read' and 'live that you may live' standing out the most to me.

An elegant mix of stories exploring the complexities of family relationships, loss, death, and abuse. Despite the darkness of the themes, the beauty of the language- reaching it's pinnacle in the final story, Live that you may live- lifts the mood. An excellent collection.
