I'm going to crack a tooth due to all this SWEETNESS! What a gorgeous, heart warming and soft read this was. I'll admit I cried more than once. Imagine me hanging off my husband, sobbing the words 'everyone deserves to be loved, especially Rome!'

Favourite character alert - Rome! He way he dipped his toes into affection and followed his heart without being able to discuss it or work through it in a healthy way... my trauma-informed heart! It was like love with training wheels. The relationship between Rome and Damien was full of small gestures, acts of service and quiet adoration. So incredibly sweet.

Rome's growth was something else. It took strength for him to open up and let Damien in, and then he had to open arms opened wider to take in the rest of the team. The found family trope here was super special. I think my favourite part (which I'm kicking myself I didn't highlight!) was when Olly asked Rome 'why do you think I ask you to help me fix things?' I understand Rome's hesitance in understanding why people would voluntarily spend time with him. But Rome, honey... you deserve all the love!

And as someone trying for a baby... the second half was pure happy tears. Great job, E.L Massey!

I tried to finish the 2nd half of the book in one afternoon.  Came home the next day and forced myself to wife to listen to the last two chapters.

I loved this in the original form, but the new additions to the published one were excellent. Love this series!

There is genuinely nothing E.L. Massey can write that I wouldn’t read. Erica is such a genius when it comes to developing complex characters. This book let me do one of my favorite things ever, which is stepping into the shoes of someone whose life is completely different from mine and experience their world. Rome and Damien are wonderful and I just love all the small examples of healthy relationship behaviors that Erica includes when she writes about love. For example I loved how they agreed that if they’re not mature enough to talk about something then they shouldn’t do it. That was such good messaging especially when it comes to teenagers navigating sex—so much respect for that kind of thing in books!! Even though their relationship is quite unique in some ways (not going to spoil it but actually WHAT LMFAO

Rome & Damien start off on the wrong foot but grow together beautifully teaching each other about worlds neither understood before. They have some absolutely fantastic banter and the found family vibes are top notch. They work so hard to understand each other and it shows how much they love each other. I also adore the glimpses into their future!
