Was a little rushed at the end but I've been waiting for Ruby's story ❤️

I love the town of Blessings and how everyone comes together as a community to support and help one another. Makes me wish I lived in this town (or maybe one similar to it!)

This installment focuses on Ruby and Peanut. Peanut has been sending Ruby gifts as a secret admirer and now is the time to reveal himself and his love for Ruby. Luckily Ruby loves him just as much! The road to the forever for these two is not easy and they have to deal with Ruby's ex-husband and a serious incident with Peanut that lands him in the hospital. But true love wins out in the end.

This book is very uplifting but has some dark and down moments, but it is what adds complexity to the book. There are some lessons that everyone can take away from this book, especially in how to treat someone.

If you have not read this series, definitely start with the first book as each book builds on the last one.

I like this series because of the slice of life look at a lot of different characters. It is nicely soapy. This one features a main couple whose romance catalyst is a kidnapping, but we also get a few side stories including one featuring a woman who comes into an unexpected windfall as well a family who has hit hard times.

That said, I can't give these books higher than 3 stars. They are a bit too sweet for my personal taste in places and I would even say this one is inspie adjacent. Just way to much talking about praying for my taste.

Wow, what a story this was. I thought I was humming along and yet where could this story go? Ms Sala never disappoints and wham I didn't see that coming. Talk about emotions, not sure how many times my kindle blurred. I was so invested in these characters lives that I missed my train stop and walked several blocks back to work.
A small town where the internet isn't needed to spread the news. After all the drama Ruby went through I loved the way she shut down some of the gossips determined to dig out the dirty untruths. Ruby and Peanut (poor man having that moniker) were good people, looking out for others and they deserved their chance at love and a HEA.

At first I didn't think I would enjoy this book as much as the others because these particular characters aren't my favorite. As always, Sharon Sala shuts down my doubts by writing a book better than expected. There were more to the characters than I originally thought. Finding out more about them in each chapter made me want to read and find out more. All I wanted to do is to keep reading and somehow I managed to finished it within the same day I started it. Ruby Dye is a far more complex character and I have more respect for, especially after learning everything she did for other people in Blessings, Georgia. Peanut Butterman (yes, that is his name) deserves the best and I believe he found that with Ruby. They were patient with each other and worked their way through the problems they had with the other at their side. They knew exactly what they wanted in the relationship and went for it.

This romance was incredibly sweet but I found the drama to be a bit much and the writing felt fairly disjointed with the multiple povs and storylines. I would have liked to see a bit more of the main characters but overall a good small town romance
