This one started out strong but then it was just happy-go-lucky throughout the rest of the book.  Besides a few chuckles here and there it was a dud.

A mix of Guardians of The Galaxy and The Lord of the Rings, opening the first page to this story is like stepping through a portal. The world of Grandual is expansive and abundant with creatures, adventure and glory, combined with the rough-and-tuff nature of mercenaries and the like. Clay Cooper was a humorous and loveable protagonist that acted as the glue to the rest of the band, the highlight being their unbreakable bonds between each other, and added a beautifully crafted relationship between man and warrior. This novel is perfect for anyone wanting to escape to another world and become absorbed in Saga’s tomfoolery, banter and companionship.

Entertaining from start to finish and made me chuckle at some of the "typical" D&D party shenanigans that happen. Looking forward to book 2 and 3!
