Initial thoughts review: so many powerful points in this issue! Some of my favorites- "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," and the essay in the back explaining how women live in a world of "ifs" driven by a patriarchal society. This issue brought up a lot of thoughts and emotions that I try and stifle, and helped me to articulate some anger I have. Really want to share my copies of Bitch Planet with everyone I know, but I also really want to keep them private so I can annotate them... Might end up buying a second set so I can have bob options available. LOVE BITCH PLANET!

This has been my favorite of the three issues thus far, especially the essay at the back.

Penny's story- and Meagan Carpentier's essay in the back- legitimately made me cry. Start reading this!

Can I give this more than 5 stars? Can I give it 10?

A comic book, about a fat woman, who isn't the butt of a joke, or apologising for her size, or portrayed as pathetic. Penny Rolle ROCKS!

Penny Rolle's vibrant back story and Megan Carpenter's fantastic essay resonated deeply with me. Short and savage, these women continue to impact me deeply and refuse to let go.

As the first "special third" issue, where a guest artist comes in to illustrate the back story of a certain character and I felt that this was a GREAT start!

Penny Rolle is a character that I can connect with on many levels, mostly being that we cannot contain our feelings for outrageous bastards. Already there are so many layers to Penny's story! I WANT TO KNOW MORE. GIVE ME A WHOLE VOLUME OF BACKSTORY PLS.

I also think these backstory issues being integrated throughout the series is genius!

My friend lent me the first three issues which is making me fly through these because I don't want to have them for too long. And now I just want more.

The first flashback issue was so ridiculously good. I love Penny Rolle. Her backstory was perfect.
