I enjoyed it!! Its a fun and mildly tropey ride, a horror movie in novel form if that makes any sense. Awesome descriptions that were super evocative I could imagine them being movie scenes easily

The 1 ⭐️ is for me because I finished this book. Interesting premise, caught my attention early on but became very repetitive. Didn't care about any of the characters and it felt like there was too much happening. Never felt scary and it’s pretty easy to scare me. Take a shot every time you read the words pockmarks, tendons, or barf and you’ll die.

It was fine. I wanted more of a theme. This felt like a mixed bag of scares with no real throughline.

I liked the premise, I liked the nods to the Dyatlov pass incident and the Donner party… But it just didn’t grab me at all. I didn’t care what happened to them. I could’ve put it down at any point and not been bothered, just for some reason, did not connect with the writing
