A terrifying look into a possible future. Brilliantly written, intense, and heartbreaking. It would be perfect if the pacing of the novel didn't come to a complete halt to dump "exposition" after Wilson discovers a book.

Ok, I liked this book, until the end. Winston is a very likable character, and I know that the end is not supposed to be a happy ending but I was still upset. The start was good, I liked the plot, and then they brought in that book of rules that I felt the need to quickly skim.
