this Tore Me Apart, so much timeless raw honest stories and advice that i could relate to lots of things in my life in bits and pieces. i really felt like sugar was an old family friend by the end

really liked it but just extremely emo and found myself having to take a break after every story and once I took a long break I didn’t feel the need to pick it up again

For some reason she decided she should use this book as an opportunity to describe 13 year old girls as having DD “racks” & “perfect asses” while explaining her relationship to them as a 28 yr old youth counselor. My friend described Strayed as having the same bravado as some of the insufferable male authors who think their thoughts are so insightful they must educate you. Don’t bother.
