I strongly dislike reading protagonists I can't root for, and I found the main character to be very shallow and two-dimensional. She's also rather violent/aggressive in her personal life and a police officer, which I just don't enjoy reading. There's also all the signs of a will-they-won't-they relationship with her partner on the force (which I confirmed in other reviews) and that is one of my least favorite tropes
