was looking for a cozy summer read, but i couldn’t bring myself to be invested in the story. the imagery of their surroundings were dreamy and whimsical. i think the dynamics between a grandmother and her 6 year old granddaughter coudl’ve had potential to be interesting. but there was nothing to attach to, care about, or look forward to. quite slow and boring. i’d rather watch moomin lol

Very sweet and nostalgic, I really liked having an older female protagonist. That said, I didn't have the biggest motivation to pick this up as there isn't much plot.
