I have mixed feelings about this book. The way they did the point of view was a bit confusing. At the beginning of the chapter they would list a person. Then when their thoughts were shared they referred to themselves as "I" then when the spoke they would refer to themselves in third person. For example. Sam would be thinking and he would refer to himself in first person, then in the next line he would say something and it would say, "Sam said."
Because of this and some of the other writing techniques. used, it made it sound like a fan fiction, not a novella written by the actual authors.
The story line was great though, I like that not all of the main heroes were okay with the way things were handled after the first book.
I will still read the other books in this series and just hope it gets better.

It was nice to see what Sam & Six have been up to, but it just wasn't enough for me. This could be because it was a shorter story than I'm used to, or that I just wasn't given enough. The story has moved a bit slow for my tastes. I do however, enjoy where this story is headed and look forward to finding out what happens next.

This felt like a different author than previous Lorien books. However, it's been awhile, so maybe I've just forgotten. I like the creativity in the new Legacies, but this book mostly just presented questions that remained unanswered.
