Read this for a class I'm taking on Russian history. Really inspires me to read more dystopia. Something about this writing style intrigues and resonates with me.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It felt like communism propaganda at the beginning then did an excellent job about showing how foreign influence can alter a societies view of their structure, and then how that society will then overstep in order to correct that view.
Reminded me a bit of "Brave New World" in a good way.

I think this is a very important and significant book in the history of sf/dystopian literature, but it is a bit of a slog. Definitely recommended to anyone interested in this subgenre. Glad to have read it.
