This book is easy to read and get into. I’ve been enjoying this world and I love when the characters appear in one of the other books. Rex and Tabitha are interesting, intriguing, entertaining, complex characters. Rex I thoroughly enjoyed and seems to be the stereotypical male in this series. Tabitha on the other hand, there were times when I liked her and times when I didn’t or found her to over-the-top. There were aspects of this story that were truly fun to read and entertaining and other that just didn’t work for me.

I enjoyed the audio version of this story and the narrators – they did a great job.

The hate list thing was actually a stroke of genius. You’re telling me, he had such strong feelings for her, feelings that disrupted his life so much that he thought the feelings just HAD to be hate, when in actuality they were love the whole time?? Like, actual literal tears. He was so ready for her once he realized he actually loved her. He was not playing around. I love when the girl is the emotionally stunted one for once.

The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin
-Billionaires of Manhattan Series-

3.5/5⭐️

•My Thoughts•
I went looking for a “new to me” audiobook that I could follow along with even through the kids chatter and the occasional mind drift and this was exactly what I was looking for. It was highly entertaining with likeable characters and great tropes. Its soap opera-like vibes were very tongue-in-cheek and brought levity and drama. The third act drama was frustrating but absolutely fit the vibe - no way a soap would end easy, right? I feel like I will absolutely keep the rest of this series in mind for an easy audiobook listen in the future as it looks like they’re all available on hoopla!

Neva Nevarre and Jason Clark were the narrators for this one. This was my first narration by Jason Clarke and I thought he did a fantastic job!  I will absolutely be seeking him out in the future. Neva’s style wasn’t my favorite but I was able to ignore my feelings by the end of the story and still overall enjoy.

The book was boring and the MMC was so unlikeable and did made so many mistakes and the FMC would just take him back. There was no groveling or redemption. The plot also fell dead at the end because the only interesting stuff happened the last twenty pages.

I clearly have been remiss in my education. I have not in all my years learned the valuable lessons taught in daytime television. Sigh. It is with great displeasure and considerable contrition that I realize I have let myself down. Stefano would obviously make me pay for my ignorance. So it is with great Sorrow face, that I respectfully request you bear with me while I go through the time consuming process of catching up. OR....

Let me giggle like a loon. I had a ridiculously fun time reading The Billionaire's Fake Fiancee. I may not be up to date on As the World Turns, but I have read a few dastardly plots in my time! These two are so cute with their opposites attract and their chemistry. I absolutely love their little wars. The quirky heroine is my spirit animal in any book. I may not be quite the sparkle fiend but I do appreciate a person's need to shine.

Rex and Kitten have the ability to make everyone's day filled with mirth, merriment, and a lot of hot growling. I need to say that it would be my pleasure to audition narrators for the audiobook because Rex needs to be brought to life!
