Good book. Some suspicions from previous book are confirmed later in this one. It also doesn't leave off like it is in the middle of a major event. Instead stops at a point that leaves one wanting to read more. Nice change from book 5, which wasn't found amusing in how it ended.
There are a ton of references to other books and geek-culture in the book. A given considering the story itself.

This could easily have been the second part of the last book. There was no need for the cliff-hanger.

Adding in a whole new crew of supernatural miscreants also seems a bit of an odd device.

The nerd-service does most of the carrying in this book.

This is a really good story but it's outgrown the novella length format and the last two (this included) have felt like cliff hanger endings.

I will never understand why an author wants the last thing a readers feels when they close the book to be "I got played."

I really hate cliff hangers and usually give them a single star by default. The fact that I've given this book 3 stars in spite of that should tell you how much I am otherwise enjoying this needs-more-copy-editing story.

I read this as part of boss fight. Read that review: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30227941-boss-fight

Hah! I KNEW IT!

In this book we find out what happened in the aftermath of the previous book "Heartacje" and we also meet Jade's bio-dad.

Oh. And we finally learn some interesting facts about Jade that even Jade was unaware of (But that I have been suspecting since "Pack Of Lies").

So get ready for Annie Bellet turning the plot dial up to 11!

The only bad this about this series is that the books are too short. The big thing that is going down is being dragged out through several books, which is good but also bad. Wish there was more to it, but even though they are short, they are really good because everythings just going so fast.

Looking forward to diving into the next one, have got to know where this goes!
