Some of it is graphic but I couldn’t recall if all of them were so I thought better safe than sorry.lish_e's review

“I would have come for you. And if I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we'd fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that's what we do. We never stop fighting.”
Even though I had been spoiled about some things that happen in this book, I was still invested and some plot twist, that I didn’t know about, hit me in the face.
The writing and different povs helped it to come together nicely. I also liked that the plans didn’t go smoothly all the time. In some YA books every plan somehow works out nicely and the main characters have a lot of luck all the time. The plans in Crooked Kingdom still worked out, but in a believable way: with bruises and sacrifices. All the characters had a fitting ending with the shadows they needed to defeat.
I adored the characters so much and loved the dynamic they had with some really cute and wholesome scenes in between. I was a mess after finishing it.
Highly recommend the book.
“But what about the rest of us? What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns. We learn to wring magic from the ordinary. That was how you survived when you weren’t chosen, when there was no royal blood in your veins. When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.”

i could talk about this book forever. i was afraid it couldn’t met my expectations since book 1 was perfection but this was even better.
i sobbed for days but the ending did not disappoint, loved Wylan’s POVs and i’m so scared for Six of Crows #3 if it ever gets written.
