Liked having the artist/muse trope switched! Was a lil unhappy with some of the later plot points and I feel like there was so much introduced that it was a bit confusing how it all came together/some things felt unfinished but not in a clear “setting up for a sequel with this character” way…but an overall enjoyable read!

“Paint me like one of your French girls” is the phrase I kept hearing on repeat as our main girl Lucy describes the artist physique of the Duke of Winston. What I enjoyed about this book is the banter and chemistry between Lucy and Anthony. The art scene and mysterious missing sister added layers to the plot. Anthony’s struggle with addition was raw and added a balance to your typical historical romance story.
