Glad I picked this short story in the Amazon Prime First Reads for the month of October. I enjoyed the author's style of writing.

I set myself up for this one. I like the author's novels, but as a short story I did not like it. It may have more to do with me because while I knew it was a short story to begin with, I sill wanted more. The ending was too rushed and I just have too many questions.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for providing me with a copy.

This was such a good short story. Silvia Moreno Garcia always knows how to write a wickedly good story. I wished it was longer tbh but regardless it was perfect

Wow, that was certainly not the end I expected, but maybe I should have. It was a very good short story and a perfect read for the spooky season in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

You'd think the cover would have given it away but I was totally caught by surprise when I realised I was reading a dark romantic retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. I absolutely loved this short story, it's dark and mysterious, Judith's sadness and loneliness is palpable and I felt really empathetic towards her despite it being such a short read. Will definitely be looking to read more from SMG!

This was okay. Not my favorite Silvia Moreno-Garcia book. This was a short story took me like 20 minutes to read.

so more like a 4.5 star for rating. it’s not a long short story, and i can see it easily being lengthened into a novella—if not a novel. it’s a quick story that’s good for the winter (or, in my case, leading into the winter), and i can see it being a reread for me. it takes less than an hour to read so i’m not adding details for that reason.
